After high school, Dave worked in drywall and later owned a mattress store. He did not follow a traditional college path. Years later, an opportunity to train for a CDL opened a different road.
Earning his CDL opened the door to a stable, well-paying career and changed what Dave believed was possible for his family. That experience inspired him to help other people get the opportunity to build a better future through trucking.
That experience became the seed for Midwest Roads to Careers: what about the person who is willing to work, capable of succeeding, and ready for a change—but never gets the opportunity because the cost of training stands in the way?
MRC exists to help create that opportunity. The organization’s success will not be measured simply by scholarships awarded, but by people who complete training, enter careers, strengthen their families, and build a better future.
The MRC Promise
